A lovely (and quick) write up. I'm looking forward to the big launch (and delighted Nobu is out). Here's my concern: "We did not see FZN’s menu pricing, but I expect it to be face-draggingly expensive." I think they will set the new pricing levels (beyond Takahisa).

Yeah this is my concern, but to be expected? *sigh* The wine menu may require a mortgage.

Also, I'm learning to trust Grammarly less... it corrected some things, uhm, incorrectly.

She's a feisty one -- I also run last "me" checks.

Looks decadent, mighty envious obviously. Are you able to share how it stacks up to his other ventures? What do you reckon is the primary goal of a private media invite event - do you reckon they did what they wanted?

I've not been to his other venues so I can't speak to those but, having been to the collab at Ossiano, the food was comparable and in line with what I expected. Not specific dishes per se, but the overall approach, plating, quality, philosophy etc. In some ways, you don't want FZN to be a replica of Frantzén or Zén because what's the point? On the goal of the event, I suspect it's multi-fold but the obvious one is publicity and coverage that the restaurant is opening and to get the news out there. I don't usually succumb to those things but it was a dinner worthy of talking about so here we are!
