I had hoped to spend a few days and visit again in September before my Maldives trips but I’ll admit the current hostilities in the area scrapped that idea. Too risky given I will be travelling for work so I’m just transferring through the airport. Even then, there’s a part of me that’s worried. But hoping for better for everyone.
There’s an article in The Times in the UK today about “what it’s really like in Dubai right now”, and it paints a rosy picture. Perhaps odd to hear but I’m no so much worried about the conflict at the moment (I genuinely don’t think about it), but I do think about the chilling effect it has one business here and elsewhere. That is what I’m more worried about.
