Leaving Elvis hanging feels like a crime. Was curious about when the old world decor works. For example when I was ITC grand chola it delivers an old world grandeur. Did it come short on that front or is it just a matter of preference? Was also curious about the service cos usually a stay is defined by how fun the staff are at least in my experience.
I don’t mind aged throwback decor but really when it’s true of its period. For example, an old property that’s compassionately restored or similar. Something that’s of the time and true to the time. However, these new made to look old pastiches usually don’t work in my view and this is one of those occasions. There was nothing but sand here years ago and therefore the Grecian columns and sweeping staircases are silly choices IMHO.

That’s fair.
